Baby M’s Hospital Newborn Session | Portland Fresh 48 Photographer

A fresh 48 session is simply a session that takes place during your baby’s first 48 hours.  We can capture those wrinkly toes, siblings meeting baby for the first time, swaddles and the joy that a new baby brings.  I visit you in your hospital room or birth center to capture this special time for you and help you preserve those first days when everything can be a blur.

These are one of my favorite types of sessions to do because everyone is focused on the new baby and I love capturing that special bonding time.  Big siblings are trying to figure this whole new baby thing out and mom and dad are just so excited to meet this little person finally.  It’s a session centered around love and, well, a baby!  What’s not to love about these types of sessions?

And this session was no different.  Baby M was surrounded by Mom, Dad, big brothers, (and Grandma & an auntie joined as well).  Clearly she picked an amazing family to be a part of.  I could stare at newborns all day, and apparently so could big brothers (although, to be fair, can’t everyone?).  It was so sweet to watch them checking out their baby sister and touching her hands gently.  She is so loved and I feel honored that I was invited in to this special space to capture these precious moments.
