Oh sweet newborn sessions! The snuggles, the swaddles, the itty bitty adorable baby toes and fingers. It’s all so much fun to capture. They grow so fast in that first year it’s hard to remember all the details of their first few weeks. Like how tiny they are in their crib or the fascination that big siblings have for this new baby. Relationships are building and changing and there is always so much love.
And Baby M’s in-home newborn session was no exception. I loved watching big brothers dote on her and seeing her observe this big new world. The documentary style of these sessions allows me to observe the family’s interactions, document all those newborn details (like her gorgeous nursery, those adorable newborn movements and of course all the sweet snuggles) and capture their new family dynamic and story.
Having a newborn session in-home allows big siblings (and sometimes dads, if we’re being honest) to come and go and feel more comfortable in front of the camera. I am able to take my time to truly see the whole story and document all the details without them feeling any pressure to pose or perform. It’s just their story, in their home.
And sweet Baby M could not have lucked out with a better home and family to be a part of. She has 2 big brothers that love and watch out for her and 2 amazing parents with so much love to give. I’m so honored to have been invited in to capture this season of their lives and Baby M’s newborn story…
Welcome home Baby M! {And make sure to check out her fresh 48 session here to see more pictures of this sweet girl!}
